About Me

Hi, I’m Georgia - the head counsellor at Bigg Feels. When you send a DM, email or call - this is who answers and this is who you sit down with at your first session. I am married and have a beautiful Labradoodle named Winston and a Groodle named Nova. I love baking, sewing, getting outside and spending time with the people I love. I struggled with low mood and disordered eating throughout high school and wish there were more accessible and less scary methods of seeking help.

Why Counselling?

Counselling became a pathway to becoming a psychologist for me. A way to help people coming out of the pandemic while I continue my studies. What I didn’t know, was how much I would fall in love with the practice. While that’s not to say I won’t continue in the future - I love counselling. For me, its about giving people a space where they can feel safe (a feeling that is very much taken for granted by lots of us). One of the reasons I love counselling is because it can be exactly what you need it to be. I have always been a listener, the person with the advice and “mum” of every friendship group and so beginning counselling felt familiar, and natural to me.

What is your Mission?

I want to create more space in the industry for counselling that people want to book. Empower people with the education and the strategies they need to take their mental health into their own hands, to learn to love themselves and the people in their life in a more productive and positive way. There is so much information and resources out there now that would have made the world of difference when I was growing up.
